Who will help me in case of a violent attack?

If you have been the victim of violence or in fear of becoming a victim, you should first contact the police. In addition, there are various counseling centers, where you can get information anonymous and confidential. If necessary you will receive help in legal matters and housing in a residential facility such as a women's shelter.

Especially if you come as a refugee to Germany, you might have experienced cruel things in your home country and during your escape. In Germany many people would like to assist you in the processing of traumatic events. The support can be either psychological help but also more general. For severe emotional distress in Germany is a pastoral-phone available where you will receive anonymous and free advice over the phone.
