Can I apply for asylum if there is no war in my country of origin?
What are save countries of origin?

If people want to leave their country because of poverty and social injustice or fundamental economic problems, they can unfortunately not apply for asylum in Germany or Europe. Natural disasters, such as steadily rising water scarcity and drought are also not a recognized reason to leave the homeland and emigrate to Europe or Germany. Therefore the EU announces so-called "safe countries of origin". It is not possible for residents to apply for asylum in the EU or Germany because the living conditions are classified as safe. These States include Eastern European countries such as Albania, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia. Although the difficult economic situation in many Arab countries is known worldwide, including Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco and Egypt also count as so-called "safe countries of origin". Although the catastrophic living conditions in many African countries are well known only few African countries of origin are considered unsafe under the Geneva Convention. Therefore for decades the richer countries of the world try to offer their help. For people who have arrived from these safe countries of origin in Germany, there is generally little to no perspective to stay as asylum seekers. They are already turned away at the border or in the worst case their application is rejected. Then you have to leave the country. If you refuse to leave a deportation is carried out. Connected to a deportation are paying the costs for the Federal Republic as well a long travel ban on Europe.
