Social Welfare Office

This department is responsible for social care and support for people in need. The department manages payments (governmental benefits) which asylum seekers can apply for. The amount of money is determined within the Asylum Seekers' Benefit Act (Asylbewerberleistungsgesetz). The department also arranges accommodation and housing of asylum seekers.
